Product Details:

The AD8178 is a high-speed, three-channel, 16×5 video cross-point switching matrix that supports 1600 × 1200 RGB displays with an 85 Hz refresh rate with a bandwidth of 450 MHz and a slew rate of 1650 V/μs. With −82 dB crosstalk performance and −90 dB (5 MHz) isolation, it is suitable for many high-speed video applications.

The AD8178 supports two operating modes: a differential input to differential output mode with common-mode (CM) synchronous signaling passed through a switch, and a differential input-to-differential output mode in which common-mode signaling is removed by a switch. The output common-mode and black levels can be easily set via external pins.

The outputs work in a single-ended manner with the horizontal and vertical decoding outputs to drive the monitor directly.

The AD8178's independent output buffers can be placed in a high-impedance state, allowing for larger arrays to be built with parallel crosspoint outputs. Inputs can also be done in parallel. The device offers both serial and parallel programming modes.

The AD8178 is available in a fully packed 26-pin PBGA package and has an operating temperature range of −40°C to +85°C industrial temperatures.
