The AD8227's robust inputs are designed to connect to actual sensors. In addition to having a wide operating voltage range, it can handle voltages beyond the supply rail. For example, when powered from a ±5 V supply, the voltage at the input is guaranteed to not damage the device even if it reaches ±35 V. The minimum and maximum input bias current characteristics facilitate open circuit detection. The AD8227 is ideal for multi-channel, space-constrained applications. The MSOP package and 125°C temperature rating make it promising in highly compact, airtight designs.

The AD8227 is available in 8-pin MSOP and SOIC packages and is rated for an operating temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
