El AD9642 es una frecuencia de muestreo de 14 bits de hasta 250 MSPSAnalog-to-digital converters(ADC) diseñado para proporcionar soluciones para aplicaciones de comunicaciones versátiles, de bajo costo, de tamaño pequeño, ancho de banda amplio.

El núcleo ADC utiliza una arquitectura canalizada diferencial de varias etapas con lógica de corrección de errores de salida integrada. Cada ADC tiene entradas de ancho de banda amplio que admiten una variedad de rangos de entrada seleccionables por el usuario. Una referencia integrada simplifica el diseño. Se puede utilizar un estabilizador del ciclo de trabajo (DCS) para compensar las fluctuaciones en el ciclo de trabajo del reloj ADC, lo que permite que el convertidor mantenga un excelente rendimiento.

Los datos de salida ADC se envían directamente a un puerto de salida LVDS externo de 14 bits.
