This ADC122S021 is a low-power, dual-channel, high-speed serial interface CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter. The difference is that specifying a single sampling rate performance is only the conventional practice, ADC122S021 specifying a 50 ksps sampling rate range of 200 kps. The converter is based on a successive approximation register architecture with internal sampling and hold circuitry. It can be configured to accept one or two inputs at the input signals IN1 and IN2.

Serial data output is direct binary and is compatible with several standards such as SPI™, QSPI ™, MICROWIRE, and many common DSP serial interfaces.

The ADC122S021 operates with a single power supply and can range from +2.7V to +5.25V The normal power consumption using +3 V or +5 V power supplies is 2.2 megawatts and 7.9 milliwatts, respectively. The power-down function reduces power consumption by only 0.14 microwatts and is powered from a +3 V supply, or 0.32 microwatts from a +5 V supply.

The ADC122S021 package is packaged in an 8-pin MSOP package. Guaranteed to operate at -40°C industrial temperature range of 85°C.
