The ADC124S021 is a low-power, four-channel high-speed serial interface CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter. The difference is that specifying a single sample rate performance is only the usual practice, ADC124S021 fully specifying a sample rate range of 50 ksps and a sample rate range of 200 ksps. The converter is based on a successive approximation register architecture with internal sampling and hold circuitry. It can be configured to accept signals from IN1 to four inputs via input 4.

Serial data output is direct binary and is compatible with several standards such as SPI™, QSPI ™, MICROWIRE, and many common DSP serial interfaces.

The ADC124S021 works with a single supply and can range from +2.7 V to +5.25 V The normal power consumption using +3 V or +5 V power supplies is 2.2 megawatts and 7.9 milliwatts, respectively. The power-down function reduces power consumption by only 0.14 microwatts and is powered from a +3 V supply, or 0.32 microwatts from a +5 V supply.

The ADC124S021 is packaged in a 10-pin MSOP package. Guaranteed to operate at -40°C industrial temperature range of 85°C.
