The ADC12L080 is an analog input signal at 80 M sample points per second (MSPS) when converted to 12-bit digits by a monolithic CMOS analog-to-digital converter. This converter uses digital error correction and on-chip sampling and holding circuit differential, pipeline construction to minimize chip size and power consumption while providing excellent dynamic performance. ADC12L080 can be operated with internal or external references. Operating from a single 3.3V supply, the unit consumes 80 MSPS, including a reference current of only 425 mW. The downward functional power reduction power consumption is only 50 milliwatts.

The differential input provides a comprehensive input swing equal to ± V REF. Buffered, high-impedance, single-ended external reference input on the conversion chip, using a differential reference by the processing circuit. The output data format can be selected as or offset as a complement to binary or two.

The device is available in a 32-pin LQFP package and operates from a -40°C industrial temperature range to +85°C.
