The ADC12L080 is a monolithic CMOS analog-to-digital converter that converts an analog input signal at 80 M samples per second (MSPS) into 12-bit numbers. The converter uses digital error correction and on-chip sample-and-hold circuitry for differential, pipelined construction to minimize chip size and power consumption while providing excellent dynamic performance. The ADC12L080 can be operated with an internal or external reference. Operating from a single 3.3V supply, the device consumes 80 MSPS, including a reference current of only 425 milliwatts. The downward function power reduction power consumption is only 50 milliwatts.

The differential input provides an overall input swing equal to ± V_REF。 The buffered, high impedance, single-ended external reference input is converted on-chip to a differential reference by the processing circuitry. The output data format can be selected as or offset as binary or two's complement.

The device is available in a 32-pin LQFP package and operates over the -40°C industrial temperature range to +85°C.
