The ADC122S021 is a low power, dual CMOS with a high speed serial interface of 12-bit analog-to-digital converter. Unlike the usual practice of specifying performance at a single sample rate, the ADC122S021 is specified in a sample rate range of 200 ksps that is completely over 50 ksps. The converter is a successive approximation register structure based on an internal tracking and holding circuitry. It can be configured to accept inputs IN1 and IN2 with one or two input signals.
THE SERIAL DATA OUTPUT IS BINARY AND COMPATIBLE WITH SEVERAL STANDARD SPI, QSPI,™ MICROWIRE,™ AND SERIAL INTERFACES WITH MANY GENERAL-PURPOSE DSPS.
The ADC122S021 operates with a single supply and can range from +2.7 V to +5.25 V. The power consumption from a normal +3 V or +5 V supply is 2.2 MW and 7.9 MW, respectively. The power-down function reduces power consumption by only 0.14 μW using a +3 V supply, or 0.32 μW using a +5 V supply.
The ADC122S021 is packaged in an 8-lead MSOP package. Operation in the industrial temperature range is guaranteed from -40 °C to +85 °C.
