The ADC14L020 is a low-power monolithic CMOS analog-to-digital converter that converts 14-bit digits into Megasamples analog input signals at 20 words per second (MSPS). The converter uses a differential pipeline architecture with digital error correction and an on-chip sampling and holding circuit differential pipeline architecture to reduce power consumption while providing superior power performance and full power bandwidth of 150 MHz. Operating from a single +3.3 V supply, the Nyquist ADC14L020 reaches 12.0 bits of effective bits, and the power consumption is only 150 mW at 20 MSPS. The power loss function reduces power consumption by 15 milliwatts.

The differential input provides a full differential input swing equal to 2x the V REF input with a single possibility. Full differential input, best performance is recommended. Duty cycle stabilization and output data format optional state functions use a four-pin. The output data can be set to offset binary or complement of two.

To simplify the interface to low-voltage systems, the ADC14L020 power pins driven by the digital output can be connected to a supply voltage of varying in the range of 2.4V analog supply voltages.

This device is available in a 32-pin LQFP package and will operate from a -40°C industrial temperature range to +85°C Evaluation boards can be used to simplify the evaluation process.
