The ADC78H90 is a low-power, eight-channel CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter with a throughput of 500 ksps. The converter is based on a successive approximation register architecture with internal sampling and hold circuitry. It can be configured to accept 8 input signals via AIN8 AIN1 when registered.

Serial data output is direct binary and is compatible with several standards such as SPI™, QSPI ™, MICROWIRE ™, and many common DSP serial interfaces.

The ADC78H90 can operate both analog and digital power supplies independently. The analog power supply (AV DD) can range from 2.7 V to +5.25 V and the digital power supply (DV DD) can range from 2.7 V to AV DD. The normal power consumption using a +3 V or +5 V power supply is 1.5 megawatts and 8.3 milliwatts, respectively. The power-down function reduces power consumption by using only 0.3μW from a +3 V supply or 0.5 microwatts from a +5 V supply.

The ADC78H90 is packaged in a 16-pin TSSOP package. Guaranteed to operate at -40°C industrial temperature range of 85°C.
