The device features a differential input with a center tap, differential, 100 Ω in-chip termination resistor and supports DC-coupled LVPECL, CML, 3.3 V CMOS (single-ended) inputs, and AC-coupled 1.8 V CMOS, LVDS, LVPECL inputs. The VREF pin is used to provide bias to the AC-coupled input.
ADCLK944 has 4 full-swing emitter coupled logic (ECL) output drivers. For LVPECL (positive ECL) outputs, VCC can be biased to positive and VEE to ground. For ECL outputs, VCC can be biased to ground and VEE to negative supply.
The ECL output stage is designed to drive 800 mV per end directly to a 50-Ω resistor terminated at VCC − 2 V, resulting in a total differential output swing of 1.6 V.
ADCLK944 is available in a 16-pin LFCSP package and is rated for a standard industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
