The ADG1411/ADG1412/ADG1413 are monolithic complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) devices with four independent selectable switches designed in an iCMOS® process. iCMOS (Industrial CMOS) is a modular manufacturing process that combines high-voltage CMOS with bipolar technology. With this process, it is possible to develop a variety of high-performance analog ICs with operating voltages up to 33V and achieve dimensions that were not possible with conventional high-voltage devices. Unlike analog ICs that use traditional CMOS processes, iCMOS devices can withstand high supply voltages while improving performance, significantly reducing power consumption, and reducing package size.
The on-resistance curve is very flat over the entire analog input range, ensuring excellent linearity and low distortion when switching signals.
The iCMOS architecture ensures very low power consumption, making these devices ideal for portable, battery-powered instrumentation.
The ADG1411/ADG1412/ADG1413 each contain four independent single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switches. The only difference between the ADG1411 and the ADG1412 is the opposite of the digital control logic. The ADG1411 switch is turned on with a logic 0 condition for the relevant control input and a logic 1 for the ADG1412 switch. The ADG1413 has two switches with similar digital control logic to the ADG1411, but the control logic of the other two switches is reversed. When turned on, the conductivity of each switch is the same in both directions, and the input signal range can be extended to the supply voltage range. Under the disconnected condition, the signal level that reaches the supply voltage is prevented.
The ADG1413 is an open-before-close switch suitable for multiplexer applications. The design itself features low charge injection, enabling minimal transients when switching digital inputs.
