ADG3300 is a bidirectional logic level converter with 8 built-in bidirectional channels that can be used for multi-voltage digital systems, such as data transfer between low-voltage DSPs/controllers and high-voltage devices. The internal structure of the device allows for bidirectional logic level conversion without the need for additional signals to set the conversion direction.
The voltage applied to the VCCA sets the logic level on the A side of the device, while the VCCY sets the logic level on the Y side. To ensure proper operation, VCCA must always be below VCCY. The VCCA-compatible logic signal applied to the A-side of the device appears at the VCCY-compatible level on the Y-side. Similarly, the VCCY-compatible logic level applied to the Y side of the device appears as a VCCA-compatible logic level on the A side.
The enable pin provides a three-state operation mode with the Y-terminal pin. When the enable pin (EN) is pulled down, the A1 to A8 pins are pulled down by an internal 6 kΩ resistor, while the Y pin is in a high impedance state. The EN pin is based on the VCCA supply voltage and is driven high in normal operating mode.
ADG3300 is available in a compact 20-pin TSSOP package with a guaranteed operating voltage range of 1.15 V to 5.5 V and an operating temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
