Level translatorsIt can be used in multi-voltage digital systems, such as data transmission between low-voltage DSPs/controllers and high-voltage devices. The device's internal structure allows bidirectional logic-level translation without the need for additional signals to set the conversion direction.
By applying to VCCAThe voltage can be set at the logic level at A of the device, VCCYIt is responsible for setting the logic level at the Y terminal. To ensure proper operation, VCCAMust always be below VCCY. V applied to pin ACCACompatible with logic signals, V at the Y pinCCYCompatibility levels appear. Similarly, V is applied to the Y pinCCYCompatible with logic levels, V at the A pinCCACompatible logic levels appear.
The enable pin (EN) provides tri-state operation for the A and Y terminal pins. When the device enable pin is pulled low, the pins at both ends are in a high impedance state. The EN pin is referenced to the VCCA supply voltage and is driven high in normal operation.
The ADG3301 is available in a compact 6-pin SC70 package with a guaranteed operating voltage range of 1.15 V to 5.5 V and an operating temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
