Product details

The ADG465 is a single channel protector in a SOT-23 package. It is in series with the signal path and protects sensitive devices from voltage transients in the signal path regardless of the presence or absence of a power supply. Because channel protectors operate independently of the power supply, they are ideal for protecting analog inputs (such as hot-swappable rack systems) in applications where the correct power sequencing is not always guaranteed. This is discussed in detail in the Applications section of the data sheet, with some example circuitry.

The ADG465 can operate from either bipolar or unipolar supplies. When the power is on, the channel is on (normal); When power is disconnected, the channel is turned off. When the supply is ±15 V, the ADG465 has a typical on-resistance of 80 Ω and a maximum leakage current of ±1 nA. When the power supply is disconnected, the input leakage current is typically approximately ±5 nA.

The ADG465 is available in 6-lead plastic surface-mount SOT-23 and 8-lead mSOIC packages.
