Product Details:

The ADG465 is a single-channel protector in a SOT-23 package. It is connected in series with the signal path to protect sensitive devices from voltage transients in the signal path, regardless of the presence or absence of a power supply. Because channel protectors operate independently of the power supply, they are ideal for protecting analog inputs (such as hot-swappable rack systems) in applications where power timing is not guaranteed to always be correct. The "Applications" section of the datasheet discusses this in detail and provides some example circuits.

The ADG465 can be powered from both a bipolar or unipolar supply. When the power is turned on, the channel is on (normal); When the power is disconnected, the channel is turned off. When the supply is ±15 V, the ADG465 has a typical on-resistance of 80 Ω and a maximum leakage current of ±1 nA. When the power supply is disconnected, the input leakage current is typically about ±5 nA.

The ADG465 is available in 6-pin molded surface-mount SOT-23 and 8-pin mSOIC packages.
