The ADM3054 is a 5 kV rms
Signal isolation controllerLocal Area Network (CAN) physical layer
transceiver, in accordance with ISO 11898 standard.
The device is used by Analog Devices iCoupler® technology that integrates a triple isolator and a CAN transceiver in a single package. The device logic side is VDD1 operates from a single 3.3 V or 5 V supply on the bus sideDD2operates from a single 5 V supply. Bus side (VDD2Loss of power condition can be achieved through the integrated VDD2SENSE Signal detection.
The ADM3054 creates an isolated interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical layer bus that can operate at data rates up to 1Mbps.
The device's bus pins (CANN and CANL) have integrated protection against shorting to supply or ground in a 24 V system.
The device features current limit and thermal shutdown to prevent output shorts and bus shortings to ground or power pins. It is specified over the industrial temperature range and is available in a 16-lead, wide-body SOIC package.
