Product Details:

ADM3101E is a high-speed, single-channel RS-232/V.28 transceiver interface device that operates from a single 3.3 V supply. The low power consumption makes it ideal for battery-powered portable meters.

ADM3101E compliant with EIA/TIA-232E and CCITT V.28 specifications and has data rates up to 460 kbps.

All RS-232 (TOUT and RIN) and CMOS (TIN and ROUT) inputs and outputs are electrostatic discharge protected (up to ± 15 kV ESD protection).

Because the input/output pins provide ± 15 kV ESD protection, the device is ideal for operating in environments with harsh electrical conditions or applications that require frequent plugging and unplugging of RS-232 cables.

The voltage multiplier/inverter uses four 0.1 μF external charge pump capacitors, which allows the device to be powered from a single 3.3 V supply.

ADM3101E is available in a 12-pin LFCSP package and is rated for a temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
