The ADM7151 is one
Low dropout linear regulatorIt operates from a 4.5 V to 16 V supply and has a maximum output current of 800 mA. These devices feature an advanced proprietary architecture that provides high power supply rejection, low noise, and excellent line and load transient response with a 10 μF ceramic output capacitor. Using two resistors, the output voltage can be set to any voltage value from 1.5V to 5.1V.
The ADM7151 is available in two models that optimize power dissipation as a function of input and output voltage, as well as PSRR performance. The ADM7151 regulator has an output noise of 1.0 μVrms (100Hz to 100KHz) and a noise spectral density of 1.7 nV/√Hz above 10 KHz.
Available in 8-lead, 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP and 8-lead SOIC packages, the ADM7151 is not only very compact, but also has excellent thermal performance for low-profile, small applications requiring up to 800 mA output current.
