The ADP151 is an ultra-low-noise, low-dropout linear regulator that operates from a 2.2 V to 5.5 V supply with a maximum output current of 200 mA. A low dropout of only 140 mV at a 200 mA load helps improve efficiency and allows the device to operate over a wide input voltage range.
The ADP151 uses a novel circuit topology to achieve ultra-low noise performance without the need for bypass capacitors, making it ideal for noise-sensitive analog and RF applications. The ADP151 provides ultra-low noise performance without compromising its power supply rejection (PSRR) or line-to-load transient response performance. Quiescent current as low as 265 μA at a 200 mA load makes the ADP151 suitable for battery-powered portable devices.
The ADP151 also has a built-in pull-down resistor on the EN input pin.
The ADP151 is designed to operate reliably at 1 μF ± 30% small ceramic input and output capacitors for high-performance, space-constrained applications.
It is available with 16 fixed output voltage options ranging from 1.1 V to 3.3 V.
Short-circuit and thermal overload protection circuitry prevents damage to the device under adverse conditions. Available in 5-pin TSOT, 6-pin LFCSP, and 4-pin, 0.4 mm pitch, halogen-free WLCSP packages, the ADP151 is the industry's smallest solution for a wide range of portable power applications.
