The ADP16x is designed to operate reliably with a small 1 μF ± 30% ceramic input and output capacitors for high-performance, space-constrained applications.
The ADP160 is available with 15 fixed output voltage options ranging from 1.2 V to 4.2 V. The ADP160/ADP161 also includes a switching resistor that automatically discharges the output when the LDO is disabled. The ADP162 does not include an output discharge function, and the rest is exactly the same as the ADP160. The ADP161 and ADP163 can be used as adjustable output voltage regulators and are only available in a 5-pin TSOT package. The ADP163 does not include an output discharge function, and the rest is exactly the same as the ADP161.
Short-circuit and thermal overload protection circuitry prevents damage to the device under adverse conditions. Available in 5-pin TSOT and 4-pin, 0.5 mm pitch WLCSP packages, the ADP160 and ADP162 are the industry's smallest solution for a wide range of portable power delivery applications.
