The ADP165/ADP166 are ultra-low quiescent current, low-dropout linear regulators that operate from 2.2 V to 5.5 V and output currents up to 150 mA. With a dropout of only 120 mV at a 150 mA load, it not only improves efficiency but also enables the device to operate over a wide input voltage range.
The ADP165/ADP166 are designed to operate reliably with 1 μF ± 30% small ceramic input and output capacitors for high-performance, space-constrained applications.
The ADP165/ADP166 offer seven fixed output voltage options ranging from 1.2 V to 3.3 V, as well as one adjustable output option. The ADP165 also includes a switching resistor that automatically discharges the output when the LDO is disabled. The ADP166 does not include an output discharge function, and the rest is exactly the same as the ADP165.
Short-circuit and thermal overload protection circuitry prevents damage to the device under adverse conditions. Available in 5-pin TSOT, 6-pin LFCSP, and 4-pin, 0.5 mm pitch WLCSP, the ADP165/ADP166 are the smallest size solutions for a wide range of portable power delivery applications.
