Product Introduction

ADUM7640 1 kV RMS Quad Digital Isolator (6/0 Channel Directional)

The ADuM7640/ADuM7641/ADuM7642/ADuM7643 are 6-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices' iCoupler® technology. These 1kV digital isolation devices are available in a small 20-pin QSOP package. When functional isolation is required, these devices are space-saving and cost-effective compared to 2.5kV or 5kV isolation solutions.

Like many of Analog Devices' isolators, this product family uses a supply voltage of 3.0V to 5.5V and consumes only one-tenth to one-sixth of the power consumption of other digital isolators. In addition, the DuM7640/ADuM7641/ADuM7642/ADuM7643 offer low pulse-width distortion (Class C less than 6 ns) and a channel-by-channel glitch filter to protect the device from extraneous noise. The combination of four channel directions provides the highest data rate of 1Mbps or 25Mbps. In the absence of an input supply, the default output is logically high-level on all models.
