ADUM1440 Micropower quad digital isolator with default low level (2/2 channel directional)

The ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 are micropower, 4-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices' iCoupler® technology. These isolation devices combine high-speed complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) with monolithic air-core transformer technology to deliver superior performance characteristics over optocouplers and other integrated couplers while consuming the lowest power consumption of any isolation product available. The ENX signal can be used to disable internal refresh, reducing the total quiescent current to less than 1 μA.

The ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 family of quad-channel 2.5 kV digital isolation devices are available in a small 16-pin QSOP package. While most quad isolators are available in a 16-pin SOIC wide-body package, the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 saves nearly 70% of board space while still withstanding high isolation voltages and complying with regulatory requirements such as UL and CSA standards (pending). In addition to saving space, the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 can be powered from a supply as low as 2.25 V.

In addition to low power consumption, all models of the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 have very low pulse width distortion (less than 8 ns). In addition, each model offers an input glitch filter to prevent extraneous noise interference.
