Product Introduction

The Avago AFBR-703SDDZ transceiver is part of the SFP+ product family. The transceiver uses Avago's 850nm VCSEL and PIN detection technology, features a 10GBASE-SR compliant IEEE 10Gb Ethernet design, and can operate at 1.25GBd on Gigabit Ethernet applications. The AFBR-703SDDZ transceiver is designed to ensure that the well-known SFP specification developed by the SFF Council is enhanced to 10Gb Ethernet device designs based on new electrical and mechanical specifications with higher port density. These specifications are called SFP+ to identify enhancements to previous SFP specifications used for low-speed products. Avago Technologies is actively involved in SFF Council specification development activities.
