The Avago AFBR-703SNZ transceiver has a mini-SFP+ (mSFP) size, which is smaller than the standard SFP+ size specified by the SFF 8432 mechanical specifications. This product is part of the SFP+ product family, but can be used in higher density 10Gb Ethernet applications where current SFP+ form factor products cannot be used. The mSFP and SFP+ dimensions have the same management interface specifications and optical specifications. Both the mSFP SR transceiver and the SFP+ SR transceiver use Avago's 850 nm VCSEL and PIN detection technology to deliver a 10GBASE-SR compliant IEEE 10GbE design.
