The Avago Technologies AFBR-79Q4Z is a four-channel, QDR InfiniBand and proprietary application pluggable, parallel fiber QSFP transceiver. This Ranceiver is a high-performance module for multi-lane short-range data communication and interconnect applications. It integrates 4 data channels with a total bandwidth of 40 Gbps in each direction. Each channel can operate from 10 Gbps to 100 meters using OM3 fiber. These modules are designed, operated, and use multimode fiber optic systems with a nominal wavelength of 850nm. The electrical interface uses a 38-contact edge connector. The optical interface uses an 8 or 12-core fiber MTP® (MPO) connector. The module integrates Avago's proven integrated circuits and VCSEL technology to provide reliable longevity, high performance, and consistent service.
