Designed for pulse width modulation (PWM) control of low-voltage stepper motors, single and dual DC motors, the A3906 can output up to 1 A of current on each channel and operate from 2.5 to 9 V.

The A3906 has a built-in fixed-shutdown time PWM timer that sets the peak current based on the selection of current-sense resistors. The overcurrent output marker is used to inform the user when the current within the motor winding reaches peak current, which can be sensed by the inductive resistor. Output failure does not affect drive operation.

The A3906 is available in a 20-contact, 4 mm × 4 mm, 0.75 mm nominal overall height QFN package with exposed pads for enhanced heat dissipation. The packaging is lead-free and 100% matte tin plated.
