The A3908 is a low voltage bidirectional DCElectric motor driver, typical input voltages range from 3 to 5.5 V, and output currents up to 500 mA. The unique full-bridge output integrates linear operation at the source to ensure a constant voltage supply to the motor coil. The regulated output minimizes the × R of IDS (On)Changes in motor voltage due to changes and battery voltage tolerances.
Logic input pins control the direction of rotation, braking, and standby of the motor (Current sink driverOptional PWM. Internal protection circuitry features thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and crossover current (breakdown) protection.
The A3908 is available in a 2 mm × 2 mm (nominal height 0.55 mm), 8-pin DFN package with exposed thermal conduction spacer (package suffix EE). The small package is Pb-free and has 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
