A8601is a fixed frequency multiplex output power supply for LCD display biasing. The switching frequency can be programmed or synchronized with an external clock signal from 350 kHz to 2.25 MHz to minimize interference in the AM and FM bands.

A total of five output voltages are provided by three linear regulators and two charge pump regulators. Each output voltage can be adjusted independently. During power on and off, the output turns on and off in a pre-programmed sequence to meet the sequential requirements of a particular LCD screen.

All outputs are short-circuit protected. The boost switch has overcurrent and overvoltage protection. Input disconnect protection is obtained by driving an external P-MOSFET.

The 28-pin exposed heatsink TSSOP package allows operation at high ambient temperatures. The packaging is lead-free with a 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
