• Product Introduction

ATS601LSG is a unique addition to Allegro's™ family of camshaft sensor ICs. This single-component limited power-up state sensor IC provides first-side drop-side detection, high operating mode edge accuracy, and is orientation-independent over the entire operating air gap, velocity, and temperature range. ATS601LSG Includes optimized Hall ICs and simple bead configurations.

This single-element Hall IC and bead configuration switches based on the magnetic signal generated by the ferromagnetic target. The IC also comes with a low-bandwidth filter that improves immunity to interference and the signal-to-noise ratio of the sensor IC. Sophisticated digital circuit design eliminates the adverse effects of target geometry discontinuities, magnet and system deviations, and thermal gradients. Signal processing provides air-gap-independent true zero-speed performance and dynamically adapts device performance to operating conditions common in automotive applications, especially cam sensing applications. The output of this device is a digital representation of the ferromagnet target profile.

Multiple factory programmable options ensure optimized performance to meet specific application requirements.

The ATS601 is available in a lead-free, 4-pin, single SIP package (suffix: SG) with 100% matte tin plating on the pin frame.
