ATS605LSG offers a single-IC solution with ferrite gear target for rotary position sensing applications. SG packages integrate rare earth pellets for easy manufacturing, consistent performance regardless of temperature variations, and improved reliability.
The three Hall elements are integrated to form two independent differential channels. These channels are handled by ICs. ICs contain precision digital circuitry that reduces the undesirable effects of magnets and system deviations. Hall differential signals are used to produce highly accurate velocity outputs and, if required, to provide information on the direction of rotation.
Advanced calibration techniques are also employed to optimize signal offset and amplitude. This calibration technology combines digital tracking of the signal, allowing for precise switching over a wide range of air gap, velocity, and temperature conditions. The open-drain output provides a voltage output signal that maps the shape of the induced target, one phase between the two channels in proportion to the size of the target tooth and the spacing between the Hall elements. The sensing IC system is optimized for a wide range of applications that require dual gear speed and position signal information or synchronized high-resolution gear speed and direction information.
The ATS605 is available in a lead-free (Pb) 4-pin SIP package with integrated feedback bias magnets and 100% matte tin plating on the pin frame.
