The three Hall elements are integrated to form two independent differential channels. These channels are handled by the IC. ICs contain precision digital circuitry to reduce magnet undesirable effects and system deviations. Hall differential signals are used to produce highly accurate speed outputs and, if required, provide information on the direction of rotation.
Advanced calibration techniques are also employed to optimize signal offset and amplitude. This calibration technique combines digital tracking of the signal so that accurate switching is possible over a wide range of air gap, speed, and temperature conditions.
