• Product Introduction

The ATS627 is a true zero-speed gear tooth sensor IC that includes an optimized Hall IC and rare earth magnet configuration packaged in a single overmolded package. Integrated circuitry provides a manufacturer-friendly solution for digital gear tooth sensing applications. The small package is easy to assemble and can be used with gears of all shapes and sizes.

The two-element Hall IC switches and switches in response to the differential magnetic signal generated by the magnet target. Digital processing of analog signals provides true zero-speed performance independent of air gaps and enables dynamic adaptation of device performance to operating conditions common in automotive applications.

The high-resolution peak-detection DAC is used to set the device's adaptive switching threshold. Limit tracking and switch point hysteresis reduce the adverse effects of any anomalies in the various magnetic signals associated with targets used in many automotive applications. The sensor IC system has been optimized for crank applications that utilize targets with signal regions.

The device is available in a lead-free (Pb) 4-pin SIP package (SG) with a 100% matte tin plated pinframe.
