The ATS667 is a true zero-speed gear tooth sensor IC that includes an optimized Hall IC-rare earth magnet configuration in a single overmolded package. This unique IC and package design provides a user-friendly solution for digital gear tooth sensing applications. The small package is easy to assemble and can be used with gears of all shapes and sizes.

The device combines a two-element Hall IC that switches in response to differential magnetic signals generated by ferromagnetic targets. The IC contains an advanced compensation circuit to eliminate the undesirable effects of magnets and system bias. Digital processing of analog signals provides air-gap-independent true zero-speed performance and dynamically adapts to device performance under operating conditions common in automotive applications, such as reduced vibration sensitivity. The high-resolution peak-detection DAC is used to set the device's adaptive switching threshold. Hysteresis in the threshold reduces any anomalous negative effects in the magnetic signals that correlate with targets used in many automotive applications.

The ATS667 is optimized for transmission applications. The device is available in a lead-free 4-pin SIP package with a 100% matte tin plated pin frame.
