The Epcos-TDK cosine capacitor series The PhaseCap HD series is a continuation of the PhaseCap MKK AC series. These capacitors have a power range of 40 to 60 kVar (frequency of 50 Hz). The capacitors are specifically designed for use in reactive power compensation devices, and their main factors are their long service life, constant capacity, and ability to withstand inrush currents of up to 200 x In. The capacitors of the PhaseCap HD series are produced according to the manufacturer of patented MCC technology - a combination of flat and "wave" cuts on the edges of single-sided metallized polypropylene films that increase the contact surface area of the electrodes.
