This is a programmable reference voltage source BUF12800 generator designed for dynamic gamma correction TFT-LCD panels.It provides 12 programmable outputs, each with a digital resolution.

"Transparency International" of the new, small-geometric, leading-edge, analog CMOS process allows the use of one digital-to-analog converter (DAC) per channel while still maintaining a very small chip size.The advantage of this topology is that programming speed is significantly increased compared to existing programmable buffers.

Each output is programmed through an industrystandard, two-wire serial interface.Unlike the existing programmable BUF12800 buffer, it provides a high-speed, two-wire interface mode that allows a clock speed of 3.4MHz.The BUF12800 double-buffered features a structure that greatly simplifies DAC registration for dynamic gamma control.
