CLRC663 is a highly integrated transceiver IC that enables contactless communication at 13.56 MHz.

The CLRC663's internal transmitter can drive read/write antennas designed to communicate with ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE cards and transmit transponders without the need for additional active circuitry. The digital module manages the full ISO/IEC 14443A framing and error detection functions (parity and parity CRC).
CLRC663 supports MIFARE Classic 1K, MIFARE Classic 4K, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE Ultralight C, MIFARE PLUS, and MIFARE DESFire products. CLRC663 supports high transmission speeds of bidirectional MIFARE up to 848 kbit/s.
CLRC663 supports Layers 2 and 3 of ISO/IEC 14443B read/write communication schemes, with the exception of collision prevention. Collision prevention needs to be implemented in the firmware of the host controller as well as in the upper layer.
CLRC663 is capable of demodulating and decoding FeliCa-encoded signals. The FeliCa receiver part provides the circuitry for demodulating and decoding the FeliCa-encoded signal. CLRC663 can handle error detection such as FeliCa framing and CRC. CLRC663 supports the high transmission speed of Bidirectional FeliCa up to 424 kbit/s.
CLRC663 supports P2P passive starter mode in accordance with ISO/IEC 18092.
CLRC663 supports proximity protocols in accordance with ISO/IEC15693, EPC UID, and ISO/IEC 18000-3 mode 3/ EPC Class-1 HF standards.

CLRC663 supports Secure Access Module (SAM) connectivity. A dedicated stand-alone I2C interface enables SAM connectivity. SAM can be used for high-security key storage and as an extremely high-performance cryptographic coprocessor. A dedicated SAM can be used to connect to CLRC663.
