illustrate
The DAC101S101 is a full-featured, general-purpose 10-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can be powered from a single +2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and consume only 175 μA at 3.6 volts.
THE ON-CHIP OUTPUT AMPLIFIER ALLOWS A RAIL-TO-RAIL OUTPUT SWING THREE-WIRE SERIAL INTERFACE THAT OPERATES CLOCKED AT FREQUENCIES UP TO 30 MEGAHERTZ OVER SPECIFIED SUPPLY VOLTAGE RANGES AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH STANDARD SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, AND DSP INTERFACES.
Competing devices are limited to clock rates of 20 MHz and supply voltages are in the 2.7V to 3.6V range.
The supply voltage of the DAC101S101 is used as a reference voltage to provide as much output dynamic range as possible.
The power-on reset circuit, which ensures that the DAC's output power is up to zero volts, still exists until there is a valid write device.
Power-down function reduces power consumption by less than one microwatt.
The low power consumption and small DAC101S101 package make it an excellent choice for battery-powered devices.
The DAC101S101 is a drop-in replacement of the AD5310, a pin-compatible family of DACs consisting of the 8-bit DAC081S101 and the 12-bit DAC121S101.
The DAC101S101 operates over the -40°C extended industrial temperature range of 105°C, while the DAC101S101Q exceeds the 1st automotive grade with a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The DAC101S101 is a 6-pin TSOT and 8-lead MSOP and the DAC101S101Q is only available in the 6-pin TSOT availabe.
