The DAC121S101 is a full-featured, general-purpose 12-bit voltage output digital analog converter (DAC) that can be used from a single +2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and consumes only 177 microamps at 3.6 volts. The on-chip output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing and three-wire serial interfaces with operating clock frequencies up to 30 MHz of specified supply voltage range, and is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP interfaces. The supply voltage of competitive devices is limited to 20 MHz and the clock frequency ranges from 2.7V to 3.6V.

Provides the widest possible output dynamic range for DAC121S101 as a voltage reference for the supply voltage. Power-on reset circuit to ensure that the output power in the DAC can reach zero volts and maintain until there is an effective write device. The power-down function reduces power consumption to less than one microwatt.

The low power consumption and small package DAC121S101 make it an optimal choice for use in battery-powered devices.

The DAC121S101 is an AD5320 and DAC7512 direct replacement and is a pin-compatible DAC that includes one of the 8-bit DAC081S101 and 10-bit DAC101S101 families. The DAC121S101 operates over an extended -40°C industrial temperature range of +105°C and up to +125°C in the primary DAC121S101Q-40°C automotive grade temperature range The DAC121S101 is available in 6-pin TSOT and 8-pin MSOP and DAC121S101Q available in 6-pin TSOT only.
