DAC8043A1ESZ

The DAC8043A is a true 12-bit precision (±1/2 LSB) current output digital-to-analog converter in a compact 8-pin package. It uses a new circuit design and precision linear geometry process to take dynamic performance to a whole new level. With a 150% increase in multiplying bandwidth (2.4 MHz) and serial data load rate (20 MHz), and a 1/3 chip size, the new DAC8043A is available in the industry's smallest surface-mount package, the TSSOP-8. This device is a pin-compatible drop-in upgrade for the DAC8043, making it ideal for applications where PC board space is a priority. In addition, improvements in linearity and gain error performance eliminate the need to adjust the device, resulting in a reduced component count. The input clock and load DAC is designed with separate control lines, giving the user full control of the data load and analog outputs. Operating from a single +5 V supply and consuming only 10 mA, the DAC8043A is an ideal low-power, small-size, high-performance solution for applications such as programmable loop controllers for industrial control, programmable amplifiers and attenuators, digitally controlled calibration and filters, and motion control systems. The DAC8043A is available in two electrical grades (1/2 LSB and 1 LSB) and is specified over the extended industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
