In addition to the DAC, an on-chip rail-to-rail amplifier, latch, and reference are integrated. The REFOUT reference is adjusted to 2.5 V, and the on-chip amplifier boosts the DAC output to 4.095 V full-scale. Users only need to provide a +5 V supply.
DAC8562 uses standard binary coding method. The op-amp outputs from 0 V to +4.095 V with a resolution of 1 mV per person and are capable of driving ± 5 mA current. Due to the use of low-temperature coefficient silicon-chromium thin film resistors, the linearity error performance relative to the digital input code is excellent.
High-speed parallel digital interfaces can connect with the fastest processors and processors do not have to wait. The interface is very simple and requires only one CE signal. The asynchronous CLR input sets the output to zero.
DAC8562 is available in two different 20-pin packages: molded DIP and SOL-20 packages, each rated for a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and a supply voltage range of +5 V ± 5%.
