The DAC-8800 Tuning DAC™ is a general-purpose digitally controlled voltage regulation device. The output voltage range can be set separately for the four D/A converters. In addition, both unipolar and bipolar output voltage ranges can be set via the high and low pins of an external reference. The digitally programmable output voltage is ideal for operational amp tuning, voltage-controlled amplifier gain setting, and any general-purpose tuning task.
A three-wire serial digital interface loads the contents of eight internal DAC registers that establish the output level. An asynchronous zero-clearing (CLR) input pin puts all DACs in a zero-code output state for system power-up. TTl input compatibility is provided over a wide VDD supply voltage range via an internal regulator. Connecting VSS to GND enables single-supply operation.
