The National DP83848M system employs a range of cost-reducing physical layers that are not available in other vendors' products. For example, DP83848M combined with a 25MHz clock, eliminates the need for space and cost, additional media access control (MAC), clock source components. Additionally, support for MII and RMII ensures ease of use and flexibility in design.
DP83848M is available in a compact 6mm x 40-pin package and is ideal for industrial control, building/factory automation, transportation, test equipment and wireless base stations.
