The DS10CP154A is a 4X4 1.5 Gbps LVDS crossover switch for high-speed signal routing and backplane switching and balancing cable optimization for FR-4 printed circuit boards and above. The fully differential signal path ensures excellent signal integrity and immunity to interference. The non-blocking architecture allows any input to be connected to any output or output. Switch configuration can be done via an external pin or System Management Bus (SMBus) interface. In addition, the SMBus circuitry enables the loss of signal (^LOS) and can notify the monitoring of the input condition of the presence of an open system (such as cable disconnection).

The wide input common-mode range allows the switch to accept output signals at the LVDS, CML, and LVPECL levels with LVDS levels. A very small package size requires minimal space on the board, while flowing through the pins allows for easy board layout. Each differential input and output is internally terminated with a 100Ω resistor, with low return losses, reducing the number of components and further reducing board space.
