DS1822 Digital thermometer with ±2°C accuracy over the temperature range of -10°C to +85°C

description The DS1822 is a digital thermometer with ±2°C accuracy over the temperature range of -10°C to +85°C. Data in 1-Wire® serial bus with a resolution of 9 to 12 bits (user programmable) in a complement format of more than 2 is read out. The DS1822's temperature (T H) and temperature (T L) are stored in the on-chip EEPROM with user-programmable setpoints that provide thermostatic capability. An internal flag is set to measure the temperature as T H greater than or less than T L. If thermostatic operation is not required, the two bytes in the EEPROM are reserved as T H and T L for general-purpose non-volatile storage. The serial number of each DS1822's function, unique and immutable 64-bit chip, serves as the bus address of the sensor. This allows multiple DS1822 devices to coexist on the same 1-Wire bus. The DS1822 can be powered locally from a 3.0V to 5.5V supply with power derived from a 1-Wire data cable ("parasitic power supply"). The DS1822 is available as a 3-pin TO-92 (DS1822) and 150 mil 8-pin SO (DS1822Z) packages. In addition, the parasite power version of DS1822 is available for DS1822, performance appraisal. High-precision DS18B20 is also available, providing accuracy ±0.5°C and software compatibility with DS1822.
