DS1972

description

The DS1972 is a 1024-bit 1-Wire®EEPROM chip that hosts four 256-bit, each rugged i-button ® package memory pages. The data is written to an 8-byte register, verified, and then copied to EEPROM memory. As a special feature, the four memory pages can be individually written to protect or EPROM simulation mode, and the bits can only change from 1 to 0 state. The DS1972 communicates over a single-conductor 1-Wire bus. Communication, following the standard 1-Wire protocol. Each device has its own immutable and unique 64-bit ROM registration number for factory lithography equipment. The registration number is used to resolve devices in a multipoint, 1-Wire network environment.

  • 1024-bit EEPROM memory, divided into 4 pages of 256 bits each
  • Individual memory pages can be permanently write-protected or EPROM emulation mode ("write 0")
  • Switching point hysteresis and filtering optimize performance in noisy environments
  • IEC 1000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection (± 8kV contact discharge, ± 15kV air, typical)
  • Read and write over a wide voltage range of over 2.8V from -40°C to 5.25V to +85°C
  • Communication with a single digital signal host uses the 1-Wire protocol, at 15.4kbps or up to 125kbps
