The memory of the DS1992/DS1993, the I button (hereinafter referred to as DS199_) is a rugged read/write data carrier that serves as a localized database for convenience with minimal hardware. The non-volatile memory and optional timing function provide a simple solution for storing and retrieving important information about the I-button connection to the object. The 1-Wire® protocol requires only one data line and a ground loop to transmit data serially.

A register is an extra page that acts as a buffer when written to memory. The data is first written to a register where it can be read back. After the data has been verified, the copy register command delivers the data to memory. When modifying memory, ensure the integrity of the data during this process. A 48-digit serial number is engraved by the factory into each DS199_, providing a unique identity guarantee that it is absolutely traceable. Durable MicroCan® package with high resistance to environmental hazards such as dust, moisture and shock. Its compact coin-operated profile self-adjusting mating socket allows DS199_ to easily use manual operation. Accessories are allowed to be installed on almost any surface, including plastic keychains, photo ID badges, PC board DS199_. Applications include access control, work progress tracking, e-traveler, calibration constant storage, and debit card tokens.
