The DS2482's -101-i-c-to-1 line bridge device's interface is either direct standard (100kHz max) or fast (400kHz max) and c-master to perform bidirectional protocol conversion between I'c Master and any downstream 1-Wire slave devices. In contrast to any additional 1-Wire slaves, the DS2482-101 is a 1-Wire master. An internal factory-calibrated timer relieves the system host processor from generating time-critical 1-Wire waveforms, supporting standard and high-speed 1-Wire communication speeds. To optimize 1-Wire waveform generation, the DS2482-101 performs rising and falling 1-Wire edge slew rate control and provides additional programmable features to match the drive characteristics of the 1-Wire slave environment. Programmable, power from 1-Wire that supports strong pull-up capabilities is delivered to 1-Wire devices such as EEPROMs and sensors. These features in the DS2482-101 are combined with outputs to enhance strong-pull application control of external MOSFETs. In I²C slave address assignment one binary address input control, other slave devices in the I²C system resolve potential conflicts. When not in use, the device can consume minimal power in sleep mode.
