The DS2502-E64 is a 1024-bit memory-only variant of the DS2502. It differs from the standard DS2502 in its custom ROM family code 89H, the UniqueWare™ identifier 5E7h places the upper 12 bits in the standard ROM sequence field. Otherwise, the electrical and logic behavior is the same as the DS2502. For technical details, refer to the DS2502 data sheet.

The first 32 bytes of the DS2502-E64's EPROM memory contain a globally unique 64-bit node address (EUI-64 format) and are write-protected. The data structure is as follows: The convention UniqueWare device uses a complete data sheet with a default data structure (Figure 1). This format is also known as UDP (Universal Packet) and is commonly used by the 1-Wire®API. So, if you use one of these APIs, you can call a higher-level function to read and verify the inverted CRC16. UDP is defined in application note 1141-Wire file structure, and discover the APIs that can be found in1-Wire Software Development Kit

Data logging starts with a length byte (0CH) and 4 bytes of UniqueWare item ID 00001128h. The next 8 bytes consist of the IEEE-assigned® 24-bit company ID value 006035h consisting of the EUI-64 global identifier (node address) incremented by 40 bits. An inverted 16-bit CRC data record ends. The remaining bytes in the 32-byte memory page that are still not planned. Neither the 40-bit extended identifier nor the 24-bit company ID associated with the 64-bit ROM registration number. The ROM registration number is used to provide a unique address to access the DS2502-E64 1-Wire bus hook.
