The DS34RT5110 is a 10.2 Gbps (3 × 3.4 Gbps) high-performance clock recovery device that supports three transition minimized differential signaling (TMDS ®) data lanes and a single clock channel with data rates up to 3.4 Gbps per data channel via DVI™v1.0 and HDMI™v1.3a. The device integrates a configurable receive equalizer, a clock and data recovery (CDR) circuitry and de-emphasis driver for each data channel. This clock channel feeds a high-performance phase-locked loop (PLL) that regenerates a low jitter output clock for data recovery.

The DS34RT5110 equalizes and retimes HDMI cable with a depth (2.25 Gbps) greater than 25 meters of 1080p resolution and 12-bit color depth (2.25 Gbps), a low-jitter clock and data signal output version that reduces deterministic jitter and random jitter. Several devices can cascade long-term contacts without degrading signal fidelity. The total jitter obtained is 0.09 UI or more supported data transfer rate. This low level of output jitter provides additional margin and flexibility when designing systems with tight timing budgets.

The transmitter supports emission de-emphasis, so the output can be used to drive additional cable lengths or trace optimized configurations for FR4.
