DS3695A and DS3696A is a high-speed differential three-state ® bus/line design to meet the requirements of RS485 for extended common-mode range (+12 V to -7V) EIA standards for multipoint data transmission and transceiver. In addition, they all align with the requirements of RS-422.

The driver and receive output are three-state. The driver outputs maintain a three-state ® throughout the +12 V common-mode range of -7V. Bus failure, resulting in a thermal shutdown circuit caused by excessive power consumption of the device, the troops enter a high impedance state, and the driver output. The DS3696A provides an output pin (TS) for the reported device thermal shutdown. TS is an "open collector" with 10 thousand stitches inside Pull-up resistor. This allows multiple devices to have TS outputs for in-line or-ED shots.

Both AC and DC specifications guarantee temperatures from 0°C to 70°C and a supply voltage range of 4.75V to 5.25V.
